CTPS WON BRONZE MEDAL IN LAWN TENNIS

North Zone II Lawn Tennis Tournament held at D.A.V. International Public School , Amritsar from 28^th September 2014 to 30^th September  2014 . Total 18 teams from North Zone II participated in it and C T Public School bagged bronze medal.

                      In the race of bronze medal C T Public School defeated , Moti Lal Nehru School , Sonipat , M.G.N Public School , UE-II , Amity Sector- 46 Gurgaon, Cambridge International School Jalandhar , St. Crispan School , Gurgaon and DPS Amritsar.

The students were highly appreciated by the school management and Principal , Ms. Ranjana Rajput for their sincerest endeavours.  

Students witness the live telecast of the Mars Orbit Insertion

An activity in the premises of CT Public School had been conducted in which students witness the live telecast of the Mars Orbit Insertion of the Indian Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM)

CT PUBLIC SCHOOL EMERGES CRICKET CHAMPS AGAIN

 CT Public School conquered yet another feat in the field of cricket with its U-17 boy’s cricket team emerging champions at the district level. They quashed out all the other teams and got a landslide victory in the district tournaments held at PAP organized by Punjab School Examination Board. The winners of 16 zones had qualified to play at the district level whereby CT Public School representing Zone- 3 beat Labhu Ram Doaba Senior Secondary.

CT Public School won the toss and decided to bat first and made 120 runs in 15 overs after the loss of three wickets. The opponent team tried to chase the score but was bundled out after making 29 runs. Aditya was successful in making 62 runs and took three wickets while Varun Gupta made 22 runs. Jasmeet Bajaj exhibited exemplary fielding by taking four wickets. Mrs. Ranjana Rajput, Principal, CT Public School, congratulated the team and the coaches for their hard work and dedication and their praiseworthy performance and boosted them to meet greater challenges.    

CT LAD SELECTED FOR STATE BY PCA

 It was a moment of pride for CT Public School when its young cricket aspirant was successful in getting selected to play at the state level in the U-16 category. His performance was unmatched in all the matches at the district levels representing Jalandhar district.

He played stupendously and got selected for the Punjab Under -16 Cricket team. Now he is going to play in the tournament organized by BCCI at all India level.  Mrs. Ranjana Rajput congratulated Manthan for his feat and motivated him to excel to greater heights.

CT LAD CREATES RECORD IN CRICKET

 In a cricket match organized Punjab school Education Board held at the finals in the District level tournament, Karan Rajput brought kudos to the school by creating a record in making a century in just thirty balls.

CTians selected for State Level Handball Tournament

Zonal Level Competition was held on November 7, 2014 at Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Jalandhar in which 11 teams from Jalandhar participated. Our school team came out in flying colours by winning this match. Our players, Harmanpreet Kaur Hayer and Shagun Chouhan got selected for State Level Competition.

Prime Minister interaction with the School students

On the occasion of Teacher's Day, Prime Minister Mr. Narinder Modi interacted live with millions of young students and teachers across the nation. 

Modi addressed the students from 3 pm to 4.45 pm through satellite link and live telecast on Doordarshan and the human resource development ministry website.

CT BECOMES CHAMPIONS IN DISTRICT CRICKET

 CT Public School became champions in the U-19 District Tournament held at Police DAV Jalandhar from 27^th -29^th August after qualifying in the zonals. The cricketers exhibited a stupendous performance and were successful in overriding the top teams of the district. There were sixteen zones which participated in the district tournament. CT Public School represented Zone No.3 and stood champions. The final was played against Labhu Ram Doaba Senior Secondary School. CT Public School won the toss and decided to bat first. They made 115 runs in 15 overs and the opponent team tried to chase them but was bundled out at 67. Damandeep Singh played exceptionally well and was successful in scoring 40 runs for the team while Prerit Dutta and Simranpal Singh excelled in bowling. Principal, Mrs. Ranjana Rajput congratulated the team and the coaches for their excellent performance. In her message she expressed that cricket offers high qualiy opportunities for today’s young cricketers as it is the most aspiring game all over the world. She blessed them so that they could scale greater heights in this field.

National Chock Ball Tournament

 It is a matter of pride for us that our team of five students namely, Harpreet Kaur (IX), Tasleen Kaur (XI), Pardeep Kaur (X), Kamalpreet Kaur (IX) and Kannandeep (VII) have qualified for National Chock Ball Tournament which is to be held in Andhra Pradesh.

CT Public School Emerges Winner In Zonal Cricket Tournament

A Zonal Cricket Tournament 2014 was organized in which Under-16 & Under-19 teams, from in and around Jalandhar District participated enthusiastically. In all, eight school teams participated for District Level selection.There was a neck-to-neck competition for the selection and both teams of CT Public School played miraculously defeating their rivals and bagged the First position. CT Public Cricket Team not only emerged as a winner in the Punjab Circle Cricket Tournament but has been also selected for the District Championship.

The Principal of the school Mrs. Ranjana Rajput appreciated the team work and sportsmanship of the students and congratulated the team, at their sizzling success. Vice-Principal Mr. R.C Sethi, too congratulated the players for their hard toil and determination and blessed them, to be the best, in the near future.

Zonal Badminton Tournament

In Zonal Badminton Tournament which was held on 25th August, 2014 in which Under 17 Girls team acquired the Second Position and qualified for District Tournament. The team comprise of Simran Beri of Class XI Com A and Taniya Vijay of Class IX. Principal of the school, Mrs. Ranjana Rajput congratulated the winners for their success.

Kudos to the winners of Karate Championship

 8th Punjab State Seikokai Skito-Ryu Karate Do Championship-2014 was organised by St. Soldier Elite Convent School, Amritsar on August 23 & 24, 2014.

Jaskaran Singh bagged a Gold Medal while Jotnoor Singh and Sumit Chhabra won the Silver Medals each. Principal of the School, Mrs. Ranjana Rajput & Vice Principal, Mr. R.C. Sethi congratulated the winners.

CTians shines in Zonal Kho-Kho Tournament

 In the Zonal Kho-Kho Boys Under 14 category, our school acquired the third position which was held on August 23, 2104.

First Independent Karate Cup, 2014-15 was held in Batala on August 13 & 14, 2014. CTians brought laurels to the school by bagging 1 Gold & 2 Silver Medals.

CT Public School Sportspersons Brought Laurels in Zonal Level Tournament 2014

Continuing with its track record of bagging medals and prizes in several sports events being organized nationally and internationally every year, the Sportspersons of CT Public School Jalandhar this time again brought laurels by winning prizes in Basket Ball in the Zonal Level Tournaments 2014 being held at Jalandhar on 19^th August, 2014. This event was organized by Punjab School Education Board, Mohali.

The CTians fought the Basket Ball rivals and came out in flying colours. The boys’ team struggled hard with great fervour and brought name and fame for the school. 

The Boys under 14 & 19, proved their worth by winning the Basketball contest with good points.

 Recognizing the excellent performance of students, Principal CTPS, Ms. Ranjana Rajput extended her felicitations to the winners, their parents and team coaches, HOD sports Mr. Lakhbir Singh and Mr. Vikas Chadha for all the support and encouragement being given to the players for showing excellent performances. She encouraged every student to lead a disciplined life like that of a sports person and live a healthy life. She also inspired them to discard sedentary food habits as prevalent in students in these days.

 Diksha Thakur & Kiran Rajput of class IX  of our school, got selected for the Under-17 State Level Lawn Tennis Tournament which is going to be held in Tarantaran this month . 

TAEKWONDO CHAMPS OF CT PUBLIC SCHOOL

 State Karate Taekwondo Championship was held at Adarsh Palace, Kapurthala. CTians brought laurels to the school by bagging 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. Kudos to the winners!

 Sahodaya Group Folk Dance Competition was held at Sankriti KMV School. Mrs. Bhawana trained the students very well for the competition. It was extremely tough competition and the dance presentation of our school was stupendous. We have got participation certificates in this competition.
