World Elephant Day

World Elephant Day is observed globally on 12th August.
Preservation and protection of the world's elephants is the duty of all human beings. Poaching is the No. 1 threat facing these 'gentle giants'. Loss of habitat, human-elephant conflict, mistreatment by humans, captivity are some of other issues affecting the jumbos.
CT kindergarten teacher's showcased enactment of short story telling the importance of every thing is important and we should respect all living creatures. Kids had great time enjoying the story.

Teej Celebrations

VEGETABLE PRINTING ACTIVITY

Vegetable printing activity helps a child explore their creative side and express themselves artistically. It is a sensory activity that aims to develop fine motor skills and pincer grip. It also improves order, concentration, coordination and independence. It helps a child to develop fine motor skills. It improves hand-eye coordination.The child learns to concentrate and focus.It enhances a child’s visual perception and discovers their inner artist.

Show and Tell Activity

Show and tell’ is an important part of children’s learning and development, as it helps them to organize information and builds their confidence. Keeping this in mind, a ‘Show and Tell Activity’ was organized for the students of Grade Nursery. Such activities helps in the comprehensive learning of child development in the early stages of life.

CTPIANS SHINE IN THE SWIMMING COMPETITION

CT Public School feels elated to announce that in SFI Punjab district Swimming Competition(Sub Junior) held at sports School on 25th July, 2023 and SFI Punjab state Swimming Competition (Sub Junior) held at Mohal from 28thJuly, 2023 to 30th July, 2023 ,our enthusiastic shining stars, Karanveer Singh and Tavisha Sharma made us proud by winning the medals as per the following :-

Inter-House Stone Painting Competition

Art is just not a handicraft but it is more the transmission of feeling the artist has experienced. “Every child is an artist”, keeping this in mind and to explore the creative potential in young minds of our children, CT Public School conducted Inter-House Stone Painting competition on 1st August, 2023, Tuesday, in the school premises. Students brought the required materials with colors and decorative materials, glitters etc. The theme of the competition was Nature. The students painted the stones with paints and displayed them in different manner. This fun filled competition witnessed an enthusiastic participation by the students.
The Principal Mrs. Anuradha Chandel appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated each one for doing so well.

Principal's Meeting with Class Representatives

The Class Representatives act as an extension of the class they represent. They are the link between their class and the academic leaders. The prime duty of a class representative is to be a bridge between the students and their classmates.
The classroom representative holds an important position in handling the issues of the classroom.
Today the primary section grade (I to V) class representatives meeting was held in the school campus. They all had a chance to share their ideas and views with our worthy principal Ma’am Mrs. Anuradha Chandel. She also guided them how to stay connected and focused in their daily activities and academics.

Colouring Activity

The simple and fun activity can have so many benefits, not only does it keep children entertained, but it can enhance their development too. Colouring in is an excellent way for the children to express their feelings, develop their motor skills , relax and enjoy quality time with their friends.

COUNSELING SESSIONS FOR STUDENTS AT CT PUBLIC SCHOOL

Unlike the traditional methods that focus more on paper works at school background, our honourble Principal Ma'am, Mrs Anuradha Chandel always comes up with innovative ways to meet the needs of all students and to maximize their academic achievement.

The counselling sessions are conducted at CT Public School by an experienced counsellor,Ms. Pardeep kaur (M.A English, Psychology M.Ed UGC/NET Qualified) to help the students who have behavioral problems, difficulty in keeping up in class, or who just need a little additional care and support.
Proper student counselling can help them acquire important life skills that, when used daily, will lead to a fulfilling life.
Counselling services in CT Public School are not just for those who are struggling with mental health issues. It is a necessary part of the student life, as it provides students with an opportunity to talk about their problems and thoughts in a safe space. It also helps them identify their strengths and weaknesses, which can aid them in making better decisions.
On a lighter note, counseling at CT basically aims at helping students function more effectively in the school and with the elder ones.

Horse Riding

Horse riding is the activity of riding a horse especially for enjoyment or as a form of exercise.
Children in CT kindergarten enjoy horse riding on regular basis because it is not only a source of entertainment but a skills also.
Rider can develop better reflexes and sense of balance and coordination as they use their entire body to guide and propel to horse forward. Riding also offers cardio benefits. It also built muscles and physically strength.
Honorable principal Mrs.Anuradha Chandel appreciated the tiny tots performing horse riding and said that it is really a fun filled activity for kids.

Kindergarten Activity

Letter recognition refers to the ability to identify individual letters of the alphabet. It is an essential skill for children to develop as it is the foundation for learning to read and write.

Nursery class did letter recognition activity. Letter recognition is important because it enables beginning readers to figure out how printed text is associated with the spoken language. Having a mastery of letter names can make learning letter sounds easier for young readers. The sounds of many letter names are closely related to the sound the letter makes.

As children develop alphabet knowledge, they learn to recognize and name upper- and lowercase letters. They also discover that there are sounds associated with each letter. Children's early writing progresses from making marks and scribbling to drawing, and eventually to forming letters.
Such activities are are very essential for kids in kindergarten.

Plant a Tree; Grow a Future

HarperCollins Publishers India and Vedanta Ltd. partner has launched a nationwide plantation drive 'Plant a Tree; Grow a Future'. They visited CT Public School for this purpose on 24th July, 2023.

This plantation drive is conducted to motivate & inspire children to champion the cause of protecting the environment.

Worthy Principal ma'am Mrs Anuradha Chandel said that trees are an investment for future generations, providing cleaner air and natural shade.We hope that this drive will not only help in increasing the green cover, but also encourage to involve students in larger discussions around the need for conservation and sustainability of trees.

 

 

Session on Health Awareness for Girls

"Good hygiene is absolutely essential for our well-being."

A short awareness session on the personal hygiene for girls was conducted at C T PUBLIC School by Jagnit Kaur, a member of Proctor and Gamble ,a leading MNC company on 25th July, 2023. This session aims to demonstrate the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene and illustrate the importance of comprehensive cleaning to maintain a good health and a better personality in the society.
Students understood the importance of personal hygiene.They also learnt about the significance of proper nutrition, regular exercise, mental wellness and the importance of maintaining personal hygiene.

Worthy Principal Ma'am Mrs.Anuradha Chandel thanked the resource person for her significant contribution to our growth and learning journey.

Skating Activity

Skating in any form can be a good fitness, fun and social activity for young skaters.
Inline and roller sports skating activities require balance and strength as well as some judgment and the desire to avoid obstacles. The students must have..
*Physical strength and stamina.
*Activity level in other areas.
Ability to balance.
*Coordination.
*Maturity .

It's a very good initiative taken by CT Kindergarten under the guidance of worthy Principal, Mrs. Anuradha Chandel and Vice Principal, Mrs.Sukhdeep Kaur to develop sports skill in the students.

Inter House Debate Competition

"For good ideas and true innovation, you need human interaction, conflict, argument and debate.”

22nd July,2023.

An Interhouse Debate Competition was held at CT Public School, Jalandhar, for classes IX to XII. The topic was “World Population Day.”

The aim of organizing debate competition was to hone the public speaking skills of the students and teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions. The session was the kaleidoscope of opinions, thoughts and perspective that enhanced the knowledge and understanding about the topic among students.

The participants from all the four Houses presented their views in a highly assertive manner and captivated the audience with their brain storming arguments.

TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE

A Class Representative (CR) act as a prime official channel of communication between teacher and rest of the class. It is a leadership role- a special privilege and honor. It prepares students as future leaders.
On July20, 2023, Honourable Principal of CT Public School , Mrs. Anuradha Chandel organized a meeting with class monitors from grade 6 to grade 10.The purpose of this meeting was to provide students with school general information. In addition, principal ma’am m explained to all the roles, duties and responsibilities of class monitors because they are the team leaders, well-behaved students and responsible in the class for tasks assigned by their class teachers.

Movie Time

Movies are not only a source of entertainment. They are an immensely powerful medium that can educate and influence young minds, widening their canvas and helping them build a strong value system.
As a part of our educational trips, the students of CTPS hostel from Nursery to class 12th were taken for
the Punjabi film ‘Kade Dade Diyan Kade Pote Diyan' on Thursday ,20th July to Sarb Multiplex along with their hostel teachers.
The movie depicts the generation gap between parents and children. The day became more memorable for the children when Our honorable Co-Chairperson Ma’am ,Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi joined them along with Our Worthy Principal ma’am, Mrs. Anuradha Chandel.
The objective of the visit was to give an exposure to a new experience, to make the children learn the appropriate behaviour at a public place, to greet others and thank people who help us and also to enhance the vocabulary of the little ones.

The children had a memorable time, watching the movie with their friends.In the interval students were offered popcorn and eatables. There were some heartfelt, poignant moments and plenty of laughs.

Children thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie. It was a fun-filled day with a great learning experience for them.
