PSEB Lawn Tennis tournament Under 19 (boys/girls) held at Manav Mangal Smart School,Phase 10 Mohali from 19 September 2019 to 24 September 2019.
Total 16-20 districts participated in this tournament. Students of CTPS took part in it. The standard of the tournament was high but CTPS students competed fiercely giving a great account of themselves.
Tarandeep from grade IX Adorable showed her preeminence in the lawn tennis game and brought laurels to the school by bagging 3rd prize and made CT GROUP feel proud. Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group applauded the commendable efforts of Tarandeep Kaur and her coach, Ms. Bhavna in making a mark in the tournament.
The Principal of CTPS Mr. Daljeet Singh Rana and Vice Principal Mrs Sukhdeep Kaur also congratulated the coach and the winner for their efforts . The Principal Mr.#Daljeet Rana further added that sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges and sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead.

A champion needs a motivation above and beyond winning. This fact is true as Principal of CT Public School, Mr. Daljeet Rana has always motivated the students to participate in sports as education is partial without it. He believes that sports is the epitome of hard work and dedication. He has taken great initiative to organize various tournaments for the students to excel in sports because of its great benefits.
CT Public School played host in the Kho- Kho and Basketball District Tournaments from 19th -23rd Sept held by PSEB. It was a moment of great pride for CT Public School when District Tournament Committee honoured Principal Mr. Daljeet Rana and HOD Sports, Mr. Vikas Chadha for their valuable contribution in the smooth conduct of the tournaments. Mr. Daljeet Rana said that he would always be ready to organize many more events in the future.

An interactive session was taken in CT Public School, jalandhar, by Dr. Vikas Bhatheja who is a renowned Child Behavior Therapist and Psychoanalyst. He has done his PhD in Cognitive Psychology from JJT University, Mumbai. MPhil( Clinical Psychology) from Calorex, Ahmedabad, MEd(Sp.Ed._ MR) from MD University, Rohtak. Presently, he is Consultant Behavior Therapist with Indus International Hospital, Chandigarh and Indian Air Force. He is Consultant to 15 Schools of North India including 5 International Schools.
He has been awarded "Best Psychologist of the Region" by Governor, Haryana and "Best Contribution in the field of Mental Health" by Health Minister, Govt. of India.He said that the dreams of the children are much simpler than we think. There is an artist in every child and we have to explore his art to make his talent most productive to the society and to himself. Each child learns a little differently from the other, has the different interests and will learn at a different pace. Reaching for the dreams of our children is what life is all about for a teacher. The team has proven their might again as Champions in the Zonal Tournament held from 10th-14th September at Sain Dass School under the aegis of Punjab School Games. The Under-19 cricketers of the school, representing Zone - 4, quashed 8 teams and emerged as champions. It was highly alarming and practical session by Mr Ravinder Singh ( Training Manager), Mr.Ranjit Bhatti (Sales Executive), Ms. Diksha, Mr.Tanbir Singh ( Sales Executive), Mr.Sandeep Sharma ( RM) and Mr. Stephen ( SRM) in CT Public School.

Haradhya of Grade I -Achievers bagged the second position in the famous Lord Shiva's dance form "Tandav". This dancing star of CT Public School had participated in Sabhyacharak Kala Munch held today in Jalandhar by Dance Legend of Punjab. She got a huge platform to showcase her talent before Mrs Santosh Vyas, a renowned personality of classical art with 45 years of experience. Haradya's depiction of Lord Shiva's Tandava is an expression of the divine rhythm, ecstasy, energy and cosmic balance indicating the destruction of the universe when hatred, malice and inhumanity looms large on Earth.Her performance was greatly acknowledged by the judges for her grace, finesse and adroitness and was conferred the 2nd prize.
Principal, Mr. Daljeet Singh, Vice Principal, Mrs. Sukhdeep Kaur, the staff and students of CT Public School congratulated Haradya for her great achievement and blessed her to realize her dreams.
CT Public School felt obliged at the visit of Ms.Zeba Tasleem, who has devoted her 25 years in the field of Education. She directed youth as The Principal for 10 years and presently working as a Senior Academic Manager Mount Litera Public Schools, Zee LearnLimited, Patna Zone (Bihar and Jharkhand). She inherited these skills and passion from her mother, who worked as a Deputy Director of Educational Library in Government of Bihar and her father, who was an MBBS doctor. She herself owns a remarkable and inspiring personality. She was highly impressed by the infrastructure of CTPS and the standard of formal and holistic education system. She gave whole credit to CT Management for their professional and dedicated efforts. She couldn’t help appraising CT Management and further added leadership is not about a title or a designation. Teachers’ Day is celebrated on 5th of September on the birthday anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a great scholar and teacher. He was the 2nd President of India. Radhakrishnan believed that the teachers should be the best minds in the country. He served as teacher at many reputed universities and colleges. That’s why in the remembrance of him the Teacher’s Day.
CT Public School holds a tradition of inculcating moral, ethical and holistic values among students, to proceed with this culture Teachers' Day celebration was held with great enthusiasm. Students of CTPS expressed their immense gratitude for their teachers with a well executed play, dance and bhangra. Sep 2, 2019In the Inter- School Sahodaya Tennis Tournament 2019-20 held at Cambridge International School, Phagwara, from August 28-Sept 2, 2019, the Under-19 girls of CT Public School bagged the second place. Around 20 teams from different schools of Jalandhar, Phagwara and Hoshiarpur participated in this tournament.
The girls team played against Cambridge International Girls School, Jalandhar. It was a very tough competition and there was a tie. After seven attempts Cambridge School won the match and CT Public School secured the second position. The team was applauded for their excellence in beautiful strokes strength and use of fine techniques which helped them to bag the Runners -Up Trophy and brought laurels to the school. Principal Mr. Daljeet Singh and Vice Principal Mrs. Sukhdeep Kaur congratulated the teams and their coach Ms. Bhawna along with HOD Sports, Mr. VikasChadha for their commendable performance and hard work and blessed them for their future ventures.

Mathematics is the cradle of all creations, without which the world cannot move an inch. It is a methodical application of matter and the power of reasoning, creativity, abstract and spatial thinking, critical thinking, problem solving abilities and even effective communication skills are nurtured by it. At times, the concepts Mathematics becomes difficult for children to understand and models help the children to get their concepts clear and develop love for the subject. Off and on the students of CT Public School make different models in Mathematics and participate in various competitions too.
It was a moment of great pride for the students of CT Public School to bag the second position in the Inter- School Mathematics Model making competition held in CT World School at Shahpur. Under the guidance of Maths HOD, Mr. Rajesh Shukla and the faculty Ms. Shikha and Ms. Shivani, team of three students had prepared a model on Symmetry. The participants, Ms. Khushi, Ms. Disha and Ms. Divine, the students of grade VIII explained how symmetry is one of the most powerful and pervasive concepts in mathematics.
Symmetry is found everywhere in nature and is also one of the most prevalent themes in art, architecture, and design and exists among the roots of an equation.

CT TINKERS Innovation Show was held on 30th August, 2019. The exhibition was designed to spur the spark of creativity among students and go beyond the regular curriculum and text book learning. The exhibition included models based on technologies like 3D printers, Robotics, Bluetooth Car and Sensor Technology. Some of them were Line-following Robots, Bluetooth Robot, Smart Dustbin etc. Demonstration of Drone was the center of attraction. Our budding innovators from Class VII and VIII showcased their talent of using tool station and soldering station by giving demonstration of 4x4 LED Cube.
The students and their parents were delighted to see the projects showcased in the exhibition. The Principal, Mr. Daljeet Singh appreciated the efforts of students and the teachers He further added that the active participation by the students in ATL will definitely empower the transformation of new India through their creativity and innovation. The exhibition was appreciated by one and all.

"The more you read , the more things you will know...the more you learn, the more places you’ll go”
CT Public School,Jalandhar, organized a two days book fair which was held from 29th to 30th August. it was hosted in the School Reception area with hundred of Fantastic books and something for everyone to enjoy.It was not less than a grand feast for the enthusiastic readers. The response was highly tremendous as many aspiring readers including faculity were seen gorging on many critically acclaimed volumes There were also discussions on the Importance of developing the habit of reading. Children and teachers participated with equal enthusiasm in this discussion with each other on different books .
Wide range of books of all literary genres were displayed in the book fair. Children and the staff members enjoyed the fair and selected the books they wished to read. The opportunity to browse books of so many varieties and in a large number at a time was a wonderful experience for the children and parents who had come to attend the PTM. The aim was to encourage and inculcate the love for reading among students.
The event was inaugurated by our Worthy Principal Mr #Daljeet Rana who rightly said that due to such events students get opportunity to go through the books which are highly influencing and based on day to day life which benefit an individual to wider his or her range. the Vice Principal ma'am Mrs Sukhdeep Kaur thanked all the children and adults for making this celebration of reading a huge success.

Language is our primary source of communication. It is a method through which we share ideas and thoughts. CT Public school took the initiative to focus on improving the English Skills of the students which would improve the leadership skills,teamwork, speech and drama and Visual Acts. A number of activities were initiated by the English Department of the School like poster making competition, paragraph writing, screening of English movie, games to enhance grammar etc.
The English Week commenced on August 19, 2019, with Poster Making Contest which was scheduled for classes VIII-XII. The students expressed their views and ideas on various burning social issues through posters and tried to send their message to the society at large. Paragraph and story writing activity was conducted on the second day of the English Week. It is said that writing skills especially stories have the power to change your life and the lives of others. Moreover, writing skills effect your life, what career you pursue and how much of an impact you can have on the world.
Writing and storytelling are not easy. They take effort, time, practice and the courage to begin. They provide a way to express what you love and what excites you. They are a way to escape and create the world the way you would like it be and paragraphs are so important in writing; good paraphrasing helps the reader understand and enjoy your writing. Good ideas are not enough to write a good essay infact they need to be well organised so that they make sense. The students from grade I to XII experienced this wonderful activity where they gave words to their thoughts.
The students of grades VI and VII took part in the Telephone and Relay Message. In this activity, the students learned how to talk over a phone. This activity helped the students to enhance their listening and speaking skills and also learned telephone etiquettes. The students also enjoyed playing
Chinese Whispers.
It is important to enhance the listening, speaking and writing skills of the students. For improving the listening skills, the students were shown English Motivational Videos. These videos not only motivated the children to improve their life skills but also enabled them to refine their pronunciation of different words.
The students of grade III and IV took part in the 'Cross Word ' and 'Word Chain' games. These fun based activities intended for students to increase their vocabulary. In the Word Chain game the players came up with words that begin with the letter that the previous word ended with. In the CrossWord Puzzle game, students were given the clues to find out the right answers . These activities focus on vocabulary and concept development as well as spellings.
Only a few are blessed by the talent of effective advertising "The Ad Mad Show" activity is the perfect platform to showcase that you have the knack to advertise and win hearts.With this thought in mind, an ad mad activity took place for the classes 11 and 12 on 27th August, 2019 . Excitement level of the children reached sky high while preparing for the activity . It not only showcased their acting skills but also the impromptu ability to use the cognitive skill on the spot.
The children took an exclusive interview of revered Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group. The children's panel comprised of the School Prefectorial Board who asked many questions pertaining to his student life and career. It was a great learning session for the students who were greatly inspired by Sir who motivated them to excel in their field. This interview helped the children to build their confidence and improve their communication skills.Listening, at its best, is active, focused, concentrated attention for the purpose of understanding the meanings expressed by a speaker so a listen and draw activity took place for grades 5th and 6th on 28th August to make children more active and critical listeners.
