CT Public School was conferred FAP State Award 2021 for Best Infrastructure. FAP felicitates true educational leaders who maintain excellence in shaping the upcoming generation of the country from among 23 districts of Punjab. It was a moment of great pride to receive this coveted prize from the prestigious hands of honorable Mrs. Kiran Bedi,. first woman Indian Police Service and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. Other prominent guests on the occasion were Hon'ble Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon'ble Governor of Haryana, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Mahesh Grover, Former Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Dr. Surjeet Patar, Padma Shree, S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Dr. Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Dr Yog Raj (Chairman PSEB). Principal Mr. Daljeet Singh received this prestigious award on behalf of CT Public School. The teachers and students felt themselves on the seventh heaven for this exemplary feat.

Rashtirya Poshan Maah 2021 (1 - 30 September )
POSHAN Abhiyaan is the Government of India's flagship programme to improve nutritional outcomes for children, adolescents, pregnant women and lactating mothers by leveraging technology, a targeted approach and convergence. POSHAN Abhiyaan is not a programme but a Jan Andolan, and Bhagidaari, meaning "People's Movement". This programme incorporates inclusive participation of public representatives of local bodies, government departments of the state, social organizations and the public and private sector at large.
National Nutrition Mission named as the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s overarching scheme for Holistic Nutrition –POSHAN Abhiyaan was launched as a multi-ministerial convergence mission, with the overarching vision to make India malnutrition free by 2022.
During the Poshan Maah, Science Department of CT Public School has taken an initiative for various activities.

World Ozone Day
World Ozone Day is observed on September 16 every year to spread awareness among people about the depletion of Ozone Layer and find possible solutions to preserve it.The ozone layer or ozone shield is a region of Earth's stratosphere that absorbs most of the Sun's ultraviolet radiation. It contains a high concentration of ozone in relation to other parts of the atmosphere, although still small in relation to other gases in the stratosphere. On this day, people from all over the world hold talks and seminars on the ozone layer. During the World Ozone day 2021, Science Department of CT Public School* has taken an initiative for various activities.
The students of classes 9th to 12th presented their views about national Ozone layer of the Earth Under the guidance of Ms. Priya Sharma and Mr. Sanjesh Kumar.

Poshan Maah
"He who has health has hope; and he who has hope has everything."
The Prime Minister’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition or POSHAN Abhiyaan or National Nutrition Mission, is Government of India’s flagship programme to improve nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers. Launched by the Prime Minister on the occasion of the International Women’s Day on 8 March, 2018 from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan, the POSHAN (Prime Minister’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition) Abhiyaan directs the attention of the country towards the problem of malnutrition and address it in a mission-mode.
Good personal hygiene is important for both health and social reasons. It entails keeping your hands, head and body clean so as to stop the spread of germs and illness. Your personal hygiene benefits your own health and impacts the lives of those around you, too. The social benefits associated with personal habits must also be considered. Since it involves washing your body every day and caring for yourself, it reduces the chances of body odour and thus, any chances of embarrassment at work or at school. During this POSHAN Abhiyaan Science Department of CT Public School has taken an initiative for poster making activity. The students of classes 6th,7th,8th to 12th expressed their ideas about health and hygiene Under the guidance of Ms. Dheeru.

POSHAN Abhiyan every year, the month of September is observed as Poshan Maah.
About Poshan Maah. In order to ensure community mobilisation and bolster people’s participation, every year, the month of September is celebrated as POSHAN Maah across the country.
This month highlights the importance and role of the right nutrition for the human body. A balanced diet with a combination of essential nutrients and calories is pivotal for the smooth working and growth of the human body.
During the *Poshan Maah, Science Department of CT Public School* has taken an initiative for various activities. Ms.Hema Bhasin presented her views about Nutritional requirements and it's deficiencies. Principal Sir Mr. Daljeet Rana , Vice-Principal Maam Ms. Sukhdeep Kaur appreciated HOD Science Ms. Sonia Mehta and the Science Department.

FLN Certification
Foundational Learning is children's ability to read with meaning and do basic math calculations by class 3. FLN refers to a child’s ability to read simple sentences with meaning and solve basic math problems by the end of Class 3. These are critical gateway skills that help children learn meaningfully in higher classes and help them acquire 21st Century skills like critical thinking and problem solving which are imperative to succeed in the long run.
The aim of FLN mission is to ensure that children learn in a joyful manner through play, stories, rhymes, activities, local art, craft and music and develop strong foundations for lifelong learning. The mission outlines learning outcomes which have been designed in a spiral and progressive manner from Preschool to grade three aiming at holistic development and learning.
CT Public School has recognized Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) as an urgent and necessary prerequisite to learning.
Literacy and numeracy skills are particularly important for productivity as they provide the foundation to develop other skills.The efforts of CT staff are praiseworthy as all have successfully completed the FLN training programme.

Seminar on NTSE
National Talent Search Examination, which is conducted every year by NCERT or National Council of Educational Research and Training.
NTSE is National Talent Search Examination. NTSE is a national-level scholarship program in India conducted by National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) to identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent. National Talent Search Examination aims to provide scholarship to the deserving candidates. The examination is conducted every year at 2 levels for the award of scholarship. Stage 1 is at state level in which selection is done by States / UTs after a written examination. Those who qualify Stage 1 are eligible to appear for National level Stage 2 examination by NCERT.
For both stages, the exam is divided into two parts i.e. Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the papers are conducted only through offline mode and have objective type questions only.To brief out the students, Mr. Shreepad Ganjiwale, NTSE Expert gave his valuable tips that what preparations are required to crack these exams. The session went quite interactive where students asked the questions cleared their doubts.He also told students to give focus on Mental Ability, General Awareness, how to read newspaper and to study all the subjects, etc.The session was planned by the department of maths HOD Mr. Rajesh Shukla where his team took first step towards excellence.The team was appreciated by the Principal sir Mr. Daljeet Rana.

Felicitations to Teachers
The Learning Hub Society awarded the teachers of CT Public School for their commendable contribution in the uplifltment of students in the education system.The Chief Guest of the day was CA Sanjay Kapoor who motivated the students and teachers and the host, Ms. Anita Aggarwal who initiated this Hub six years back, whose motive was to give education to poor and needy.

INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY
International Literacy Day is an international observance, celebrated each year on 8 September, that was declared by UNESCO on 26 October 1966 at the 14th session of UNESCO's General Conference. It was celebrated for the first time in 1967.
CT Kindergarten organised reading activity with the tiny tots to make them aware about the education and its value. Schools always help the children to motivate them learning and getting education is very important.
School is the foremost fountain of knowledge children are exposed to. It gives a chance for them to acquire knowledge on various fields of education such as people, literature, history, mathematics, politics, and other numerous subjects. This contributes to cultivation in the thought process.

A proud CTPian, Aryan Raj of grade IX who has invincible belief in his potentialities and insatiable desire to perform well bagged 1st Position in Inter School Sahodaya E-Poster Making & Slogan Writing Competition held at Mayor World School in which reputed schools of Jalandhar Sahodaya Complex participated.The students from Grades VI-X were invited to display their digital and artistic skills by participating in this event.The aim of the competition was to design an e poster in MS Word on the theme- Affordable and Clean Energy.
