CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM BASED ON LIFE SKILLS
“Of all the life skills available to us, communication is perhaps the most empowering.”
To enrich the teachers with various skills required to be incorporated in daily teaching and
learning process, CBSE organizes different workshops on a regular basis. Following the
trend, a workshop on Capacity Building Program based on Life Skills was held at CT Public School on Saturday, ,April 29, 2023. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Sangeeta Bhatia, Headmistress and Academic Coordinator, MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar , certified Parenting Coach, Student Counselor and
CBSE Trainer for Capacity-building Programs for Educators.She is a constant learner and resilient person.
The workshop started with the lighting of the lamp followed by the recitation of Gayatri Mantra.
Honourble Principal Ma'am, Ms Anuradha Chandel , in her address to the audience, reminded the participating teachers, the importance and need for a Life Skills workshop. She reiterated that as teachers it is important that the practice of life skills should be reflected in the day to day conduct of classroom sessions and while interacting with the students in general.
The Resource Person then carried on with the agenda of the day where teachers were divided into different groups and each group was asked to give itself a name.
The entire workshop was conducted in an interactive manner where each teacher participant shared her views/opinion on a given situation. It was absolutely an engaging time when Role Plays were put up, where each group had something unique to present. The group members were working as a cohesive unit were brainstorming, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, empathy, appreciation for each other and many other attributes of practical Life Skills were put into perspective before the presentation by each group.
The day-long Capacity Building Programme ended with the vote of thanks by our worthy Principal ma'am.
It was indeed an enlightening workshop for the teachers.

Morning Assembly
An assembly is conducted in school every morning before starting the class because it keeps our minds fresh and gives a positive vibe to start the day.
It helps in building a culture of communication and representation of academic and co-curricular activities. It is a very important part of school culture. It also helps to strengthen the way a school works. It also helps students to gather a lot of energy to do well and be good in their day.

Bloom School Olympiad
Another feather added in the cap of CT Public School....
We are glad to announce that the students of our school participated in the ,’Bloom School Olympiad, ‘2023 in Science and Maths and brought laurels to the school by bagging various gold, silver and bronze medals, certificates, National ranks and National Certificates.

Earth Day Celebrations
“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed."
The United Nations celebrates the Earth Day as International Mother Earth Day. It is marked with the theme - “Harmony with Nature”.
CT Kindergarten celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm. Worthy Principal, Mrs. Anuradha Chandel and Vice Principal ma’am, Mrs. Sukhdeep Kaur appreciated the efforts of students and shared the message that we should use eco friendly things to make our environment pollution free.
All the human beings should be well aware that, our Earth is getting polluted day by day. So it is our moral duty to work and save our earth by planting more and more trees making it more green and eco friendly, so that the future generation gets clean environment to live.

Kudos to Harshita
"Dance is the physical manifestation of emotion."
Harshita Gupta, one of the distinguished students of CT Public School, studying in class IX, participated in the dance competition organized by Indu Sharma, director of Shiv Natitya Kendra which was held at Lovely Profesional University on 23rd April, 2023.
She received second position in that dance competition and won the title of CUTE GIRL in the modeling contest as well. She was awarded with a certificate and a trophy. Honourble Principal Ma'am ,Mrs Anuradha Chandel appreciated her efforts and wished her best of luck for her bright future.

SCIENCE ACTIVITY

Science is a systematic endeavor that builds and organizes knowledge.
The students of grade 6B of CT Public School performed an activity on Balanced diet . They participated enthusiastically and were able to understand the importance of Balanced diet.

Morning Assembly
Morning Assembly brings entire school together as a family. It is the beginning of each day which establishes a positive tone for teachers and students and encourages positive involvement of all students in running of the assembly.
Morning Assembly at CT Public School is well organised where entire school is present with all the teachers and Principal. Students of Class I to Class XII assemble for Morning Assembly at Assembly area.
Each week, one of the assigned class conducts the morning assembly with full vigour and vitality, under the supervision of Class Incharge.
The daily features of assembly are Chanting of Mantras, Prayer, Song, Thought of the day, News headlines, Morning announcements followed by rendition of the National Anthem.

Fancy Dress Competition in CT Kindergarten
Looking good isn't self-importance; it's self-respect.
Scholastic and co-scholastic activities have an equal importance in our School programme, for the holistic development of the child. Keeping this in view, the UKG classes conducted a fancy dress competition on 24th April 2023 based on the theme, ‘Earth’ which was linked with World Earth day. Expectedly the morning reverberated with the excited chatter of students who were all ready and set to let everyone know what they had learnt about the environment!
The aim of the competition was, not only to blend learning with fun but also to discover the special talent in each of our budding kids.
The children were dressed in colourful and innovative costumes. Each one came up to speak a few sentences, to introduce him/ herself and the aspect of the theme they represented.
No child was disappointed, each one was a special delight. In fact each one had prepared one fact or another to share with the rest. The learning achieved was thus wide and extremely endearing.
Our parents deserve a big thank you, for collaborating to make the event an effective one. Every costume was carefully conceived and created from items of waste, with the child involved in the exercise-itself a great learning.
Honourable Principal Mrs. Anuradha Chandel congratulated the winners who had showcased wonderful talent on the stage. Vice Principal Mrs. Sukhdeep kaur also appreciated the efforts of the students.

Mathematics Activity
An activity on Indian and international place value system was conducted in class 5th.Students participated in this maths activity with great zeal.Through this activity they were able to do comparison between the two place value systems. Our worthy Principal Ma’am, Ms.Anuradha Chandel ,Vice Principal, Ms.Sukhdeep kaur and HOD of maths department, Mr.Rajesh kumar Shukla appreciated the efforts of teachers and students.

WINNERS OF INTER-HOUSE BULLETIN BOARD AND CLASS DISPLAY BOARDS AT CT PUBLIC SCHO
To give wings to the imagination of teachers and students, CT Public School organized an Inter House and Inter Class Display Boards Decoration Competition in which all the houses and classes participated and showed different art work. All of them tried their best to decorate their bulletin boards nicely. Honourable Principal of the school, Mrs.Anuradha Chandel appreciated the hard work of students and teachers.

Morning Assembly
“The morning sets the day and the assembly paves the way for our students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted to the moral values and unleash their vitality”.
The morning assembly at CT Public School starts with the invocation to the Almighty, followed by the thought. Latest news read by the students help everyone to update themselves with the recent happenings all around. Children pay honour to their country and school by singing the National Anthem.
The highlight of today’s assembly was the announcement of the winners of Class and House Display Boards by worthy Principal, Mrs.Anuradha Chandel.She congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the Class Incharges and House Masters and their teams.

World Book Day
The enjoyment of reading books is celebrated on World Book Day on April 23. It’s a day to celebrate the privilege of being able to read, so the students and staff of CT Public School heads to the library to read good stuff.
Students from different grades were taken to the library not only to read books but they also prepared beautiful book marks. “A room without books is like a body without a soul. So dear friends, let’s read books and live our lives.

Social Science Activity
The students of Class 5th performed an activity to understand 'Our Earth' through its model,’ GLOBE’. They performed this activity by showing and creating Globe. Students are showing continents' location on it. They participated in this activity with great Zeal and enthusiasm.
Our School Principal, Ms. Anuradha Chandel appreciated the efforts of students and S.Sc faculty for engaging students in this interesting and informative activity.

Birds Feeding Activity
CT Kindergarten organised bird feeding activity today. The purpose behind this activity was to make the children aware of the natural habitat of birds.Birds should be nurtured with love care and affection.
Children learn and benefit enormously from nature, particularly at very young age, so making bird feeders to attract the birds is a very worthwhile activity. It also supports several aspects of the EYFS curriculum, including understanding the world, nurturing creativity and much more. The Kindergarten was decorated with beautiful and colourful feeding pans which looked like a miniature of aviary in CT Kindergarten.
Honourable Principal ma’am,Mrs. Anuradha Chandel shared the message with kids to love birds and feeding birds
will attract them to the natural food sources in our landscape. Vice Principal , Mrs. Sukhdeep kaur also appreciated the efforts put in for the smooth conduct of the activity.

Special Assembly

The students of CT Public School enthusiastically participated in various activities to commemorate our benevolent Mother Earth.
A special assembly was also held to celebrate the Mother Earth wherein the school choir presented a beautiful prayer which was followed by a soulful dance dedicated to our blue planet. A special Speech was given by the House mistress of Kalpana Chawla House, Mrs. Sarita Sharma in which she laid emphasis on how we could save our mother earth for our young generation .
To celebrate this day Inter house Essay writing and Poster making competitions were organised in the School. Worthy Principal,Mrs.Anuradha Chandel praised the efforts of all the students and asked them to thank the Mother Earth for all its bountiful gifts in the form of all flora, fauna and beautiful landscapes.The corridors of the school reverberated with thethoughtful slogans raised by the students as they took a green walk to sensitize others about theimportance of saving environment.

Earth Day is an annual global event, observed on April 22, that celebrates the environmental movement and raises awareness about pollution and ways to maintain a clean habitat.
On the occasion of the Earth day ,various activities were conducted at CT Public School with students of grades 1-5 to raise awareness among students on the need of protecting environment.
The students of grades 1 & 2 prepared greetings cards, 3rd class made wall hangings and 4th to 5th class students did poster making. Honourable Principal, Mrs.Anuradha Chandel appreciated the efforts of the students and the activity incharge.
